Mothers Day

I was feeling pretty low on Mothers Day this year. My baby boy was not with me and I knew I was going to spend the morning working and the afternoon driving 4 hours home. Then came unexpected drama and I just wanted to crawl under a rock but I put my happy face on and brought out my alter ego to make it thru my sessions…but then something happened. These beautiful, strong, amazing woman started showing up with their kids. Some could hardly walk but they were joyful and loving life. I had to mentally kick myself in the arse for being so ridiculous and throwing myself a pity party. Thank you to these women who reminded me that everyday is precious and to live in the now!

Fun siblings!! San Angelo, TX

There are many wonderful images of this sibling group but this is the one I am going to share for sneak peek. Technically is it fine, no one is looking at the camera, posing is ok, but this is the one that spoke to me this morning. There is a bit of a story that most of you can relate too. We were having a bit of a rough time deciding on clothing and things were getting tense at times but we figured it out and got to the location and there was still some left over tension carrying over into the portraits so I did something ridiculous I am sure. Most of you know I can make a fool of myself pretty easily on shoots! Anyway, this shot happened and it was what turned everything around and made everyone relax and have a good time. This will most likely not be the portrait that mom choses as a 16×20 for the wall but it is my favorite.
